Chuck and Stacey welcome voice over superstar Vanessa Marshall to the
show. She is known for her work in commercials, narration, video games,
promos and animation with characters like Hera Syndulla in Star Wars
Rebels, Black Canary, Black Widow, Wonder Woman, Irwin and Mary Jane
Watson.
Vanessa, who got her BA from Princeton and MA from New
York University, shares more about her journey in academia, her love of
storytelling and anthropology, working as an on-camera actor and how she
eventually found her way to voice over.
She tells the story of
her first experience getting a voice over agent and offers great advice
for staying passionate about your career by doing things like
self-discovery and taking workshops.
She reflects on some
memorable jobs, gives great professional tips and answers what
ingredients are needed for an effective working relationship with other
actors, directors and engineers. Vanessa describes her strengths as a
voice actor and breaks down her process for getting in the right mindset
to be a believable storyteller.
