An intimate look into the lives of Joan Baker & Rudy Gaskins.
Chuck
and Stacey announce that Sennheiser/Neumann has become their official
microphone and show sponsor. They are both now Neumann Endorsed Artists
as well as the VO Buzz Weekly show. Big thanks to the wonderful Chris
Currier and the entire team at Sennheiser/Neumann! Guests Joan Baker and
Rudy Gaskins light up the set and allow viewers a very intimate look
into their personal journeys.
Joan talks about her childhood
dreams as well as the painful struggles she endured growing up as
bi-racial child and the ways it has impacted her life. She tells the
story of finding her way into the voice over business, by way of dance
and on-camera acting, and how she didn’t let fear or expectation stop
her from moving forward.
Rudy offers the reasons why he left
Washington, D.C. for New York and how he first became aware of voice
talent by doing documentary films. He describes how switching roles with
a voice actor in order to experience their process has given him great
insights as a writer and director.
Joan and Rudy discuss how
their popular event THAT’S VOICEOVER came to be, what they get out of
doing the event as well as their strategy for creating an experience
that is both meaningful and beneficial for the attendees. They tell
viewers how they can attend the upcoming THAT’S VOICEOVER event on
August 17th 2013 at the Director’s Guild in Los Angeles, CA. Chuck and
Stacey will be in attendance along with top talent agents, casting
directors, voice talent and more. We hope to see you there!
