Embracing the unknown in order to achieve your ultimate goals.
Chuck
and Stacey remind viewers that there’s still time to get tickets to
attend That’s Voiceover on August 17th 2013 and also the SAG Foundation
Poker Classic to benefit the Don LaFontaine Voice Over Lab on August
24th 2013. They also recommend reading the book, Voice Acting for
Dummies, written by Voices.com founders, David and Stephanie Ciccarelli.
Award-winning actor and Emmy-winning voice director, Charlie Adler sits
down to talk about how his amazing career began in theatre and
eventually landed him in a hit show on Broadway.
He passionately
expresses what people say about acting that “push his buttons” and the
common denominator in all forms of acting. Charlie shares how his
animation career started upon moving to Los Angeles by meeting with his
then agent, Arlene Thornton and now dear friend, Ginny McSwain that led
to his first role on an animated series.
He talks about how he later became a teacher and voice director and what he discovered about the business along the way.
Charlie
candidly answers how he approaches animation auditions and why he feels
he has been “two people” at different times in his life. He explains
how he teaches his students to become comfortable with the unknown in
order to achieve your ultimate goals.
